Product upgrades you’ll actually use : Fix Less, Focus More

Welcome to the second edition of our Product Update series – your dose of upgrades, improvements and subtle yet much-needed fixes to the flowres platform. This one’s all about better transcript control, sharper-looking clips and making observers feel (almost) like they’re in the room.

No buzzwords. No “AI-powered synergy solutions.” Just simple, solid fixes that you asked for.

Edit transcripts, right on the dashboard

You’re reviewing a transcript. The moderator is tagged as “Speaker 2” and your only thought is: I’ll fix it later. But this “later” involves exporting to Word, manually editing for 45 minutes, saving new versions, and re-uploading. Sound familiar?

Not anymore.

With flowres, you can now edit transcripts directly on the dashboard. Because exporting to Word and re-uploading is sooo 2020!

· Fix moderator/respondent tags
· Clean up speaker names
· Remove personal identifiers

All inline. No downloads. No version control headaches. No “v3_final_FINAL_ this_time_forreal.docx” floating on around your desktop.

And because we believe efficiency should feel elegant, we added keyboard shortcuts too:

· Tab: Jump between speakers
· Ctrl/Cmd + > or <: Skip 5 seconds in audio/video
· Ctrl/Cmd + S: Save changes
· Ctrl/Cmd + Z: Undo your last oops

It’s as easy as editing in Word… we even took away the formatting issues, version confusion or need to re-upload.

Choose a recording view you prefer… create reels that reflect what actually happened

You’ve wrapped your fieldwork, found the gold, and now it’s time to show it off. But here’s the thing: your highlight reel is only as powerful as the footage it’s built from.

We get it: sometimes the best insight isn’t what was said – it’s the eye-roll that followed, right after.

That’s why we’ve made it easier to preserve the right visual context. Now you can choose your preferred recording layout (speaker view, gallery view, or shared screen) and flowres will carry that setting into your clips and reels.

· Clean speaker views, to spot micro-expressions and double takes
· Crisp gallery layouts showing social dynamics, to capture them in real-time
· Focused shared screens that walk respondents through stimulus eg. apps, prototypes, concepts

No more default layouts that make your clippings go rogue; do not capture the exact verbal or non-verbal response you want to share.

For CPG clients testing new packaging, this means better visibility of non-verbal responses to the new packaging. For Healthcare teams, it provides authentic patient reactions, first-hand. For agencies delivering debriefs, it’s a shortcut to delivering an impactful narrative.

Your footage, your story… so that you can capture and showcase emotions (not PowerPoint).

The Backroom, Reinvented

Remember the good ol’ days of hectic travel to observe fieldwork, one-way mirrors and whispered backroom chatter?

Cut to today…

With flowres’ near real-time streaming, you might rack up fewer frequent flier points. Observers in our virtual backrooms don’t have to wait 20 seconds for responses to catch up. They see and hear what’s happening as it happens… it’s almost like being right there, in a physical backroom.

No lag. No spoilers. No misaligned reactions.

When brand stakeholders, moderators and agency teams experience a moment in sync, their interpretation of what was said/ expressed is similar, they make sharper notes, they build stronger hypotheses.

In short: real-time viewing → real-time thinking → real-time alignment.
